I learned
about your music from Jeff Pevar and sent for the CD on his recommendation...now
it has become one of my favorite CDs. Your songs are beautiful and the instrumentation
too. I am also a pianist and I love your playing. Hope to hear you play live
some day...maybe even with Jeff sitting in? That would be a treat. Have a wonderful
holiday and New Year, and thank you for your music.

Hey Kenny
I read in the New York Times this past weekend that religious fanatics - like the Taliban - don't like music because music could "more easily occasion a sense of titillation between the legs than a sense of devotion in the brain". Well, I don't know. sure I was moved by your performance at the Village Underground on Thursday night - between the legs - not sure about that - but certainly cerebrally. Your 11 September song added meaning to the impact of that dreadful day. Can you post the lyrics - or an mp3 - or something we can buy - so that even Australians like myself can be moved cerebrally - perhaps even between the legs - by a rockin good song?

Hi.
Made it home safely. The ride was very scary the closer we got to our homes!!
Just popping in to say that I haven\'t laughed so much in years as I did on Saturday night! Since Cheryl\'s website doesn\'t seem to have a forum, I figured It would probably be ok to ask you to pass on a message. She was just fantastic. What a great sense of humor and her voice was just beautiful. That was the second time I\'d heard her songs and the first I had seen her live.
Towne Crier was fantastic too. Their Nachos were soooo yummy!! I didn\'t get to eat much of my pizza cuz I was to full from dem yummmy chips!
Saving the best for last. Kenny, I really enjoy your music! Your voice has such a soothing quality to it and I could just listen to you sing allll day/night long. Your performance was wonderful and I was so glad that I\'d made the trip. I live in Ma near Sturbridge so it was a long ride. I shook your hand on my way out on Saturday and I wanted to say so much more. I got kind of nervous and didn\'t want to make an ass out of myself so I said nothing and bolted!
My date said he really enjoyed himself too!
Back to the daily grind.
Have a great week!

Hi Jen,
Thank you for your reply.
I actually would\'ve liked the Iron Horse if I\'d gotten a seat. There were 2 Marc Cohn shows there and I bought tix for both. When I got there, my son and I literally sat on the floor at first. I was a little pissed about that because If I buy a ticket to something I think(call me crazy)that I will get a seat. A waitress came over and told us we could sit on the stairs. That was better but sitting there I was afraid someone would drop something on me. Later, when it came time for the second show, I was told that I\'d have to go out to the end of the line. Well, the line was about 2 blocks long. I was just going to go home when a woman who was standing there while I was being told to go to the end of the line(I didn\'t even know her)talked the people who were first in line to let us be in front. That was the ONLY reason I stayed. Then the ticket guy came out and told us we could come in because they changed their minds. In all fairness ti the venue we got seats(and good ones)for the second show and we got a brownie sundae and it was pretty freakin good! I will say, however, that Marc\'s performance completely made up for the venue disaster.
I don\'t want to drive 2-1/2 hours to have another situation like that happen.

Bonnie-
Towne Crier is a seated venue very similar to the Iron Horse, a little different layout. They serve food and drinks and great desserts.
Also, just wanted to let you know we have a few Cambridge dates in the making for spring. Will let you know soon.

Hi. Me again. I was just looking into the show at the Towne Crier. Mapquest has that as a 2-1/2 hr drive. I\'d do that but I was wondering if this was the same kind of set up as the iron horse. I don\'t want to drive all the way there to have to sit on the floor somewhere. I saw that I can make reservations but I\'m kind of gun-shy now cuz of a bad experience at the Iron Horse MC show. If I pay ahead of time, I really don\'t want to have to sit on the floor. Sorry if I sound like a jerk.

I know..........its a little strange getting mail from another person with the same name. I\'m a Texan and Musician (harmonica) that plays and sings with several bands in our area and found the Kenny White web site while doing a check for sites with my name. Astonishingly, I found THIS Kenny, and he too plays and sings. I couldn\'t resist listening to some of the clips and was truely amazed. Knowing of the limited sound quality one gets with streaming audio, the CD has to be awesome and I can\'t wait to get it in the mail as I ordered mine moments ago from cdbaby.com
Kenny, keep on playing that great music from the heart.

I just found this site after seeing Kenny play at The Point on Saturday. I had heard that the other band was a good time. However, it wasn\'t anywhere near as moving, deep, and just plain awesome as Kenny, (the opening act??) was!!
I am a new fan and will be checking the calendar for another Pa. trip. Keep it up.
And good for The Point for finding this one!

Dear Kenny,
I am just a fan who happened to catch your performance at Fez in NY this past Monday.
I must say I was truly amazed. I could tell from your CD that you were a fantastic songwriter and producer, but seeing you and your band live was a revelation. The guitarist and bass players were outstanding and your drummer looks great and is as dynamic as I have ever heard. The violin and the horns were perfect added touches. Your guest back-up singers, Marc Cohn and Peter Wolf, well, alls I can say is, thats pretty impressive hired hands for an opening act at the Fez. But most of all I wanted to comment on your piano playing. I\'ll say without reservation that you are the best rock & roll piano player I have ever seen, bar none. And I suggest that anyone who reads this should get to see you perform, by hook or by crook. Thanks for the show. How soon is your next one?

Saw you Saturday with Jonathan Edwards in Sturbridge. It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I enjoyed reading the comments below from your family. You can tell they are very proud of you. I have a son who just graduated from Syracuse U Education dept. but all he wants to do is play in his band. I only hope some day to hear him perform songs that are as moving as yours. Your piano playing is beyond belief. I\'m coming back to your concert with Jonathan in West Hartford. In the meantime, I\'m ordering your CD.

Hi.
Kenny, I don\'t know if you ever check this board but I just wanted to let you know that I saw you with Johnathan Edwards on Sat nite. You both not only exceeded my expectations. You kicked my expectation\'s but!!! Thank you both so much for raising my spirits and taking the time to autograph stuff. I wouldn\'t expect you to remember but if you do, I was the first to get an autograph from you. I was with my boy Ben and you were very nice to ask if I wanted your autograph. For some reason, I lost my ability to speak at that moment.
Thank you for your kindness.

A really wonderful cd. Quite a few of the tunes have that, \"i\'ve heard this before.\" feeling, even thought you never have...which is the definition top-rate classic songcraft. I especially enjoyed In Our Hands, Cold Winter, and Ready to Leave. The whole thing sounds very, very, very good. Grown-up, high quality music - thank goodness.
Thanks,
Rog

I just read a review in the VVoice that apprised me of a couple of strange similarities - I am 47 and was the one who called it quits after 14 years of marriage. Maybe that is why I am so drawn to your songs, your persona, (and, okay, I admit it, your face) - and I guess that\'s why your pain seems so incredibly like my own. I bought the CD after the Jonathan\'s concert - I listen to it every day and cry every time I get to In Our Hands - \"....... that love, like an old piece of cloth from the attic just came apart in our hands.\" That is just so achingly sad and just so much like it happened to me. But I\'m powerless to stop listening to it.
Kenny keep on making fabulous music with those killer lyrics. You\'re the greatest.
love, A

I\'ve read all the current messages posted, and I fear anything I might have to say will seem woefully inadequate in comparison to the astounding accolades you\'ve already recieved. I will say that in all of my life of listening to, performing and enjoying music, I have never written a piece of fan mail. I found your performance at Jonathan\'s on August 24 to be completely overwhelming. I\'m not sure whether you were attacking that piano or making some kind of fierce love to it, but the result was some kind of electric \"sound painting\".
While I had been aware of your talents involving the piano since seeing you perform with Jonathan Edwards 20 years ago, I had not been aware of your ability to translate the kaleidescope of life emotions into the poetry of lyrics. These powerful and painful emotions were made all the more poignant as a result of the humor that touched them.
I am truly in awe of your gift. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Kenny - INCREDIBLE
SHOW LAST NIGHT at Jonathan\'s. thanks for talking to me afterwards. Again,
I am sorry for your pain - I don\'t know why some relationships have to be so
hard sometimes. But gosh I am still high from last night even though by the
time we got back to Portland I had the wickedest headache! that still didn\'t
stop me from rhapsodizing about you and the show all the way home. It would
be hard to pick a favorite from your selection but I just loved In My REcurring
Dream - I dream a lot too, always have, with several recurrent themes - now
if I just had your gift of being able to make them into incredible lyrics, and
your musicianship, and your voice, I would want for nothing more in this life.
I am going to try to talk my brother into seeing the show in Pawling - he goes
there often to hear Loudon Wainwright with whom he went to prep school, but
I want him to see you guys because I know he would LOVE the show. You guys have
fabulous chemistry and it\'s truly a delight to watch/listen to you - I realized
afterwards I had been smiling and laughing just about the whole night. What
a great feeling and rush of much-needed endorphins of joy. Thank you! Be well

love always, Amy

Just saw you tonight with Jonathon Edwards at Calvin College - inspiring. My Post-concert discussion with my girlfriend drew the casual remark \"that was one of the best songs I\'ve ever heard\" (wrt My Recurring Dream). I thought her comment was interesting because we both recognized that, without having to stress the point or make a big deal about it. Usually use of the superlative is an exaggeration, but not in this case; the statement itself was enough.
